Our Story
Swindon Music Co-operative Ltd is a not-for-profit association of over 40 self-employed specialist music teachers. We provide a wide range of instrumental and vocal tuition in the Swindon area, working in over 80 local schools and colleges as well as providing out-of-school tuition to both young people and adults with online and face-to-face music lessons. Our aim is to develop each pupil's musical potential according to their individual needs and aspirations.
Our Services
We offer a variety of services to cater to different musical needs. Our experienced teachers provide instrumental and vocal lessons for students of all ages, from 4 to 80, covering a range of genres including classical, rock, pop, jazz, funk, and musical theatre. We also provide music theory lessons, curriculum support for schools, and accompanist services for exams and competitions. Additionally, we offer ensemble direction services for string, wind, brass, and choral groups, as well as pop/rock bands.
Our Approach
At Swindon Music Co-operative, we prioritize safety, quality, and individualized instruction. All our members are DBS checked to the enhanced level, and we maintain a high standard of teaching through regular observations and in-service training. We provide regular progress reports to parents and students, and our teachers are dedicated to helping students achieve their musical goals. With flexible lesson options, including online lessons, we strive to make music education accessible to everyone.
