A Team You Can Trust
Our optometrists are all highly skilled and registered with the General Optical Council. With several of them having been associated with this practice for many years, and others having joined us more recently, we provide a full and comprehensive eyecare service. Our dispensing opticians are fully qualified and registered with the General Optical Council. They have been trained not only in spectacle dispensing but also in the provision of aids for Low Vision and dispensing to children. They also provide contact lens instruction and are skilled in the repair of frames. Our dedicated team of receptionists and dispensing assistants are always on hand to help you make appointments, answer queries, and give you advice during your visit.
Our History
West House, where our practice is located, is over 150 years old. The building has previously been a doctor's surgery and wool shop, but has been used as an opticians premises since the mid-1960s. The practice has been owned by David Wood for the last 30 years, and the building has been renovated and refurbished to complement the age and style of this historic building.
