Bread Tradition Makers & Bakers of the Famous Bakewell Pudding

At Baked to Perfection, we are proud to continue the legacy of the famous Bakewell Pudding, a traditional dessert that has been made in Bakewell since the 1800s. Our skilled bakers create our Great Taste award-winning Bakewell Puddings by hand, using the only verified original recipe from the 1800s, which remains a closely guarded secret. With its crunchy, buttery puff pastry case, seedless strawberry jam, and soft-set silky custard of ground almonds, egg, and sugar, our Bakewell Pudding is a truly special dessert that has won the hearts of many.

In addition to our Bakewell Pudding, we also handmake the world-renowned Bakewell Tart to a traditional recipe. With its shortcrust pastry case, seedless strawberry jam, and pale, fluffy frangipane, topped with either fondant icing and a cherry or with flaked almonds, our Bakewell Tart is a delightful treat that is sure to impress. Beautiful Breads Made by Hand

At Baked to Perfection, we take great pride in the fact that our skilled bakers create products by hand, without the use of plant machinery. This attention to detail has made our bakery's produce enormously popular, and we are proud to say that our bakery has become a 24-hour operation. Bread is baked through the night using locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that our bread is always fresh and delicious.

Our product list includes a wide variety of bread, including large white box loaves, farmhouse loaves, white loaves, low GI loaves, bradmalt loaves, wholemeal loaves, and more. We also offer batch (cobs & rolls) in wholemeal, white, and bradmalt, as well as seeded white burger buns.

In addition to our artisan bakery, we are also proud to offer a range of products from the Derbyshire Oatcake & Pikelet Co. Our oatcakes are a traditional Derbyshire delicacy, made with oatmeal, flour, and yeast. They are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and can be filled with a variety of savoury or sweet fillings. Our pikelets are a smaller, thicker version of the oatcake, and they are perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
