Stoke-on-tern Primary School

At Stoke-on-Tern School and Nursery, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow and thrive. Located in rural North Shropshire, near Market Drayton, our 5-class village school is committed to helping every child reach their maximum potential. With a strong caring ethos, we value each child as an individual and strive to provide a supportive and enabling environment that allows them to flourish.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to support the educational and personal development of our students. Our curriculum is designed to be engaging and challenging, with a focus on developing the whole child. In addition to our academic programs, we also offer a range of extracurricular activities, including sports, music, and art, to help our students develop their interests and talents.

Our Wraparound Care service provides term-time care for children aged 3-11 years, before and after school, in an Ofsted-inspected setting with qualified staff. Our Nursery provides a supportive and stimulating environment for our youngest students, with a focus on learning through play.

We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all our students, and our Safeguarding Policies are designed to ensure the welfare and well-being of every child. We also offer a range of support services, including Grants and Funding, Governance, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.

Our Team

Our team of dedicated teachers, support staff, and governors are committed to providing the best possible education for our students. Our co-headteachers, Mrs. Jenny Brotherhood and Mrs. Theresa Evans, lead our team with vision and dedication, and we are proud of the strong sense of community that exists within our school.
