At Llangrannog Self Catering, we are thrilled to have recently relocated to the picturesque area of Ceredigion, previously known as Cardiganshire. Our holiday cottage is the perfect base for those seeking a peaceful retreat, yet still within close proximity to a variety of attractions and activities. Our aim is to provide our guests with excellent accommodation, offering a home-from-home experience. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning guests to our beautiful corner of Wales.
Y Boidy, our first property, is a former milking parlour and dairy, which has been lovingly converted, furnished, and decorated to the highest standard. This spacious cottage sleeps nine people in three double bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor and has its own wet room, making it accessible for less able guests. There is also a twin room and a single room, ensuring plenty of space for all. Each bedroom boasts sea and country views, adding to the tranquil atmosphere.
The Cottage
Y Boidy is equipped with all the modern conveniences you could wish for, including a fitted kitchen with built-in appliances, a cosy living area with comfortable seating and a TV, DVD, CD radio, and WiFi internet access. The open-plan design allows for a sociable space where guests can enjoy meals together at the dining table or simply relax after a day of exploration.
The cottage has two bathrooms; a walk-in shower room on the ground floor and a family bathroom on the first floor, complete with a separate toilet. Bed linen is provided, and a high chair is available upon request. The enclosed yard features a decked patio with outdoor seating, two picnic tables, and a barbecue, making it an ideal spot for al fresco dining during the warmer months.
Adjacent to the yard is a grassed garden area, complete with a picnic table, and access to a lake where you can feed the fish. The cottage is heated with oil central heating, and the price includes electricity and a basket of logs (winter only for logs). There is parking space for up to four cars, and we welcome one well-behaved pet upon prior arrangement.
The Local Area
Llangrannog is a hidden gem, home to the Welsh League of Youths (Urdd Gobaith Cymru) residential centre, which offers extensive sports and leisure facilities, including a dry ski-slope, open to the public. The area boasts unspoilt scenery, clean beaches, lanes full of wildflowers, and the soothing sound of breaking waves.
The coastal area offers wonderful beaches within walking distance, such as Penbryn and Llangrannog. A short drive will take you to Cwm Tydu, New Quay, Tresaith, Mwnt, and Poppit, all of which offer a wealth of historical information and breathtaking scenery. Nature lovers will be in their element, with excellent opportunities for spotting seals, dolphins, and other rare species of sea life, birds, and plants.
