Disappointing Experience with Domestique
Purchasing a franchise with Domestique in 2017 was a disastrous decision. The franchiser lacked integrity, leaving franchisees without a responsive ear when seeking clarity on important matters. Despite initial welcoming and reassuring meetings with the company Directors, their support lacked substance and innovation, only offering low start-up costs. Franchisees were not provided with guidance on business growth or company innovation, unlike other sector franchises. In fact, the "support" offered by the company was misleading and unhelpful.
Red Flags and Unprofessional Conduct
The non-responsive nature of the company's communication was a significant problem. Emails and letters went unanswered, leaving franchisees without a clear understanding of the business they had invested in. The company's Directors even became absent or abusive/confrontational with franchisees, making the experience even more unbearable.
Lessons Learned
It took five long years for Karl Styles to finally disassociate his name with the brand. His warning to potential new franchisees is clear: approach with caution! The low start-up costs may seem attractive, but the lack of support and integrity from the franchiser may lead to a similar disappointing experience.
