Our Journey

Mary and Graham Jinks, with a shared passion for period design, laid the foundation for The Grate Revival in 1992. In Birmingham, they curated a charming store filled with an array of fireplaces, lighting, and home accessories. Over the years, they honed their expertise in restoring antique pieces, captivating collectors and interior enthusiasts.

Their passion for the countryside led them to move the business to Churchstow in 2009. Joined by their children, Jess and Joe, the family expanded their offerings, adding wood-burners and stoves. Recognizing the need for professional installation and servicing, they established GMJ Chimney Services.
