At St Enoch Centre, People Make Glasgow
Welcome to St. Enoch Centre, the beating heart of Glasgow's bustling retail scene. Located in one of the world's friendliest cities, we are proud to be a central hub for shoppers, diners, and entertainment-seekers alike. Celebrating over three decades of exceptional service, St. Enoch Centre stands as a testament to the city's vibrant and ever-evolving spirit.
The History of St. Enoch Centre
The story of St. Enoch Centre began in 1876 with the opening of the St. Enoch Railway Station and the subsequent St. Enoch Hotel in 1879. Despite the hotel's closure in 1974, the iconic site was reimagined and redeveloped into St. Enoch Centre in 1989, the first of its kind in Scotland. A trailblazer in the retail sector, St. Enoch Centre continues to inspire growth in the city's renowned shopping destinations.
The New St. Enoch Development - 2021 and Beyond
As we move forward, St. Enoch Centre embarked on an ambitious redevelopment plan in 2021, introducing over 140,000 sq ft of new retail and leisure opportunities under a stunning glass pyramid roof. Among the unique new additions are Vue Cinema, a nine-screen all-recliner cinema, popular dining spots such as Cosmo, Nando's, and Namaste by Delhi Darbar, and splendid leisure attractions Boom Battle Bar and Level X. With further exciting openings on the horizon, look forward to Philly's Steaks and Shakes in 2023. Get a first look at our development masterplan.
Community Commitment
St. Enoch Centre takes its role in the community seriously. We are dedicated champions of local charities, causes, and campaigns, raising funds for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity and continually improving accessibility. Our focus on sustainability further highlights our strong commitment to Glaswegians and our environment.

Facilities and Amenities

Cleanliness and Maintenance
Some reviewers were disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the centre, particularly in the toilet areas, which were described as dirty and broken. This was attributed to the behaviour of some visitors rather than the centre's management.
Ambiance and Decor
