Camrose Centre Sure Start

At Foundations for Children Nursery Schools Federation, we are proud to be a family of nursery schools working together to provide high-quality early years education to children in Northampton and Wellingborough. Our federation was formed in December 2021, bringing together four nursery schools: Camrose Early Years Centre, Croyland Nursery School, Highfield Nursery School, and Parklands Nursery School.

Our Schools

We have a long history of providing early years education to the families in our local communities. Our nursery schools have a strong reputation for offering stimulating and exciting learning experiences for children. Our highly skilled staff and teachers are committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for our children, which is why our children are keen and eager to explore and learn.

Play

Play is a vital part of our nursery school's approach. We believe that play is essential for young children to learn and develop. Through play, children gain language, social, and intellectual skills, and develop their emotions and creativity. We provide a supportive and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore, discover, and learn through play.

Our Approach

We work closely with parents to understand each child's unique needs and routines. We observe children's learning and development, which enables us to plan the right activities for them. We have regular parent consultations and work closely with parents to track each child's progress. This allows us to provide a tailored approach to learning and development.

Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

The EYFS is a legal framework for learning and development in the early years, from birth to age 5. It sets out the learning and development requirements, assessments, expected levels of development, and safeguarding and welfare requirements. The EYFS provides guidance for professionals on planning the learning activities, observing and assessing what and how children are learning and developing.

Safeguarding

Ensuring the welfare and safety of our children is our top priority. We have robust safeguarding policies in place to protect our children from harm. Our policies are designed to help us create a safe and stimulating environment that is welcoming, safe, and challenging for our children.
