Love your eyes - we take care of them
Nestled in the heart of Derbyshire, Broadholme Lane Caravan Park is a long-established and trusted business that has been welcoming visitors to the area since 1989. Our well-maintained and quiet site boasts magnificent views across the Derwent Valley, offering a stunning backdrop for your stay. With easy access and a location that overlooks the National Heritage Corridor of the Derwent Valley, you'll be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Derbyshire countryside throughout your stay.
Location and History
Just one mile from Belper, named England's Best High Street for 2019, our caravan park is ideally located for exploring the local area. With a rich history that includes the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, the birth of the Industrial Revolution, and the harnessing of water power for the mills built on the River Derwent, there is plenty to discover and learn about during your stay.
Belper itself is a vibrant town with a good mix of independent shops and eating places, all of which are well-supported by local people and visitors alike. The town is also known for its award-winning flower displays, which make Belper stand out from other towns in the area. With arts and food festivals bringing in many visitors throughout the year, there is always something going on in Belper.
Onsite Facilities
All of our pitches are hard standing with hook-ups, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred pitch, although we cannot guarantee this. We have a chemical disposal point and a recycling area onsite, as well as tourist information and a wealth of local knowledge to share. We allow up to two dogs per unit and have a designated dog walking area. Please note that we do not have showers or toilets onsite, so you will need to use your own facilities at all times. We also accept trailer tents with full facilities, but do not allow camping tents onsite.
Offsite Facilities
There are plenty of local supermarkets, restaurants, takeaways, and cafes within a mile radius of the caravan park. We also have a sports centre with a heated pool, fishing and gas facilities, and the Fisherman's Rest, a bar and restaurant, just a five-minute walk away. The Transpeak bus service is also a popular choice for many of our visitors, allowing you to leave your car onsite and explore the local area.
Rules and Regulations
We ask that visitors restrict their guests to two people only per unit. All vehicles must be left at the bungalow, and guests must check in first. We aim to provide a friendly atmosphere, but one that is not intrusive. We welcome families and friends to visit, but ask that they adhere to these guidelines.
Prices and Fees
Our prices start from 20.00 for two adults per unit, per night, including hook up and awning. Additional charges apply for more than two adults, at a rate of 10.00 per person, per night. We consider adults to be 18 years and over. Please note that we consider three adults per unit to be reasonable, and do not allow four or six adults per unit.
We aim to be flexible with early arrival and late departure times if possible, with no extra charges. However, an extra night's fee is charged after 3pm. Prior notification of a late stay is required. We have a minimum two-night booking requirement at weekends, and all Bank Holidays require three-day bookings. Site fees must be paid in full on arrival and are non-refundable under any circumstances.
