Our location in this beautiful part of the world provides us with an unending source of inspiration, from the subtle tones of the changing seasons to the ever-shifting light that illuminates the moors and valleys.

Here in Exmoor, we are fortunate to experience a unique quality of light that brings out the subtlest colours and textures of the landscape. During the summer months, the gorse and heather take on rich hues, while during the autumn and winter, the bracken turns deep red. Living, painting, and taking photographs in this place is truly a dream for any artist.

About Our Artwork

As an artist, Melody is primarily a painter, but her inspiration goes beyond just painting. She is interested in photography, poetry, and art history, among other things. Her paintings capture the essence of Exmoor's landscape in a way that words cannot. Each piece of artwork is a unique expression of her experience in this beautiful place.

David is a photographer who is interested in the prevailing conditions of the landscape and the way the light changes daily and seasonally. He captures the moment in a way that is both striking and subtle. Through his photographs, you can see the beauty of Exmoor's landscape from a different perspective.

Visiting Our Exhibitions

We invite you to visit our virtual exhibitions and see our artwork in a setting that is both interactive and informative. Our Art Gallery & Studio

We are based in Porlock, a working village in the heart of Exmoor National Park. Our Gallery is located on the High Street, and our Studio/Gallery is just a short distance away. Both locations allow us to exhibit our work throughout the year. If you are unable to visit us in person, we invite you to view and purchase our original paintings and fine art Giclee prints from our online shop.
