Our Services
We carry out asbestos surveys and sample analysis in accordance with HSG264 "Asbestos: The Survey Guide" published by the HSE. Our comprehensive surveys identify areas of asbestos containing material (ACMs) within premises, providing our clients with a detailed analysis of the type, location, and condition of the asbestos. Our UKAS accredited laboratory uses standard specifications, equipment, and techniques for sample analysis, including stereo-microscopy, polarised light microscopy, and dispersion staining.
Asbestos Information
Asbestos refers to six naturally occurring fibrous minerals: chrysotile, Amosite, crocidolite, tremolite, actinolite, and anthophyllite. Although asbestos fibers are microscopic in nature, they are extremely durable and resistant to fire and most chemical reactions and breakdowns. Asbestos has been used in a variety of products, including roofing tiles, floor tiles, ceiling materials, cement compounds, textile products, and automotive parts.
