Meet Mr. Blighty

Our founder and owner, Andrew, has been dealing in antiques for over 30 years. His love affair with antiques began at a very young age, when his mother would take him to Birmingham rag market on a Monday morning before school. He started collecting Victorian bottles at the age of eight and would build up a collection to sell once a year to a Dutch dealer called Hans. After leaving school at 17, he began selling at markets in London, Camden Passage on a Wednesday, Bermondsey market early Friday morning, and then Portobello on a Saturday. The rest of the week, he was running around auctions and antique fairs, which was the catalyst for his addiction to buying and selling antiques. He soon fell in love with the characters and lifestyle of the antique world and knew that this was his passion.
