Our Story
Our journey began in 1989 when our founders, Billy and Shirley Anne Smillie, started the business with the help of the Prince's Trust. What started as a small operation with a single head embroidery machine quickly grew into a thriving business, thanks in part to Scotland's rugby Grand Slam win in 1990. As demand increased, we expanded our operations, moving to a larger factory in Greenlaw and introducing new multi-head machines to cope with the workload.
In 2000, we took another significant step forward, building a purpose-built factory at our current location in Duns Road, Berwickshire. This enabled us to further expand our workforce and increase our production capacity. Over the years, we've continued to grow, opening 10 retail shops across Scotland and the North of England, while remaining committed to providing exceptional customer service.
