Making Gates Safe - Together
Gate Safe is a registered charity founded in 2010 with a single-minded mission to improve the standard of safety for the installation and maintenance of automated gates and barriers in various applications, including housing developments, schools, commercial premises, and residential settings. With a deep understanding of the importance of safety protocols, our charity actively promotes awareness of the necessary measures required to deliver a safe automated gate or barrier.
Our charity offers a range of services, including delivering IOSH-approved Gate Safe training, running the Gate Safe Register of Approved Gate Safe installers, and providing unbiased, independent, and impartial assessments of automated gate or barrier safety through survey activity. We also provide access to specialist technical support regarding automated and manual gate and barrier safety.
Our Story
Gate Safe was established as a direct response to the tragic deaths of Semelia Campbell and Karolina Golabek, who lost their lives in separate accidents caused by unsafe automated gates. These incidents could have been prevented had the appropriate safety protocol been followed. Our founding mission has always been to put a stop to any further injuries or worse as a result of the failure to correctly install and maintain an electric gate or barrier.
