However, Etcetera is not just about clothes; it's about the customers, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where no one is pressured to make a purchase. The focus is on helping customers find clothing that makes them feel wonderful.

Our Shop: More Than a Clothing Store

Located in the picturesque Lancashire countryside just 10 minutes from the M6, Etcetera is much more than an independent women's clothing shop. The store offers a wide range of contemporary labels, with new stock arriving weekly, and a reputation for carrying an eclectic mix of fabulous accessories. Etcetera's beautiful location at Cedar Farm adds to the experience, providing access to wonderful food, coffee, a children's playground, and a diverse range of independent shops. Monthly Farmers and Vintage markets, along with free parking, enhance the appeal of Etcetera's picturesque setting.

Workshops & Events: Empowering Women

Etcetera Style Workshops have become a fundamental part of what Etcetera offers, complemented by regular events and coffee mornings. Participants can redeem the cost of any style workshop against a purchase from the shop on the day. By signing up for the newsletter, customers can stay informed about the latest workshop dates. Some of the popular workshops include:

  • How to Build a Capsule Wardrobe: A well-organised wardrobe can save time, energy, and money. With a focus on core neutrals and coordinating patterns and colours, customers can start building a collection of clothes and accessories that showcase their personal style and help simplify their daily routine.
  • How to be Retail Savvy: With a lifetime of experience in the business, Sara shares insider secrets and teaches customers how to identify genuine bargains and avoid common retail traps.
  • Colour Coordinate with Confidence: Sara helps customers discover their most flattering colours and teaches them how to coordinate their wardrobe for a cohesive, stylish look.

Service

The service received by some customers was considered to be subpar, with one reviewer, Adrienne Mitchell, stating that the staff at the till were "a little disinterested to the point of rudeness". This lack of enthusiasm and attention to customers is a concerning issue that needs to be addressed.

Product and Value

On the other hand, some customers were pleased with the products available, with Susan Gaskell commenting on the current sale and Josie Edgar praising the store's selection of "lovely things". However, Josie also noted that some items were a bit pricey.
