Here at The Parlour Bar & Restaurant, we're proud to be the oldest public bar in Newtownards, with a rich history dating back to 1735. Previously known as the Old Cross Inn, our beautiful pub and restaurant has been carefully restored to maintain its traditional decor, complete with an open fire and homely atmosphere.
Our Story
In 2012, our previous owners took over the premises and rebranded as The Parlour, offering a warm welcome, excellent food, and top-notch service. In April 2023, the reins were handed over to new owners Derek Speers, John and Billy Clarke, who are committed to carrying on the same high standards of quality and hospitality.

At The Parlour Bar, we're proud to offer a range of handcrafted beers, including our very own Parlour Pale Ale, brewed and bottled by the Ards Brewing Company.
