Come for a drink, stay for a lifetime.
Welcome to The Langton Arms, an award-winning thatched country freehouse pub situated in the picturesque village of Tarrant Monkton, near Blandford Forum, Dorset. We are proud to have been owned and managed by the same local family for 26 years, and we have something to offer everyone.
Our Story
In 1993, the Cossins family, 6th generation farmers in the Tarrant Valley, bought the Langton Arms in receivership from Barclays Bank. Under the leadership of Barbara, the family learned to cook on a large scale and master the pub and hospitality trade. Over the years, we became an award-winning country pub. In 2004, disaster struck, but we never stood still and never gave up. In 2012, we opened the butchery on our family farm - Rawston Farm. In 2018, we developed our own food and drink label, "Love Local Trust Local." We are thrilled to have been named the Dorset County Winner at the National Pub and Bar Awards 2023.
