Nestled in the heart of 1.5 acres of green belt in Aughton, West Lancashire, Springfield Nursery provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years old. Our dedicated and experienced team of Nursery Practitioners and Managers are committed to creating a home from home environment, where your child can thrive and grow. With our family-run nursery, you can have peace of mind knowing that your child is in good hands.

About Us

Springfield Nursery has been providing high-quality nursery education since 1985. Our mission is to create a stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn and develop at their own pace. We use the Famly App, allowing you to stay connected to your child's daily journey through nursery via your phone or tablet.

Our Rooms

We offer a modern, purpose-built Pre-School with welcoming and stimulating rooms, each with their own outdoor space. This allows your child to explore and develop safely in a place that feels like home. Our rooms cater to children of different ages and stages of development:

• Snowdrop: Our nurturing baby unit offers care for children aged between 0 - 1 years old. The environment is tailored to the children's needs, and all staff have specific training in caring for babies.
• Bluebell: Our Bluebells are aged between 1 - 2 and this is a perfect environment for the children to develop their independence such as feeding themselves.
• Poppy: Children in Poppy are aged between 1 - 2. The environment is tailored to their needs, and they have a rubbered 'free-flow' outdoor area.
• Daffodil: Daffodil is split into two large rooms with a shared outdoor 'free-flow' area and a dedicated toilet area. All of the children turn 3 during the year, and the environment is tailored to their needs.

In addition to their rooms, all of the children can use any of the 3 additional rooms - Sensory Room, Montessori / Teaching Room or the Quiet Activity Room.

Outdoors

Set in 1.5 acres of greenbelt, we boast a huge outdoor area including a bike track, forest, mud kitchen, and much more. We believe that outdoor play is an essential part of a child's development, and we provide ample opportunities for children to explore and learn in nature.

Our nursery is located at 59 Springfield Rd, Aughton, Ormskirk, L39 6ST. You can find us on Google Maps, and we are open Monday - Friday from 7:45 - 18:00.

Policies and Funding

We are a member of the National Day Nurseries Association, and our policies are developed with guidance from the NDNA. We have a Local Offer for eligible 2+ year olds. Eligible 3+ year olds can access Early Education Funding (EEF) of between 15-30 hours. EEF hours can be used at Springfield Nursery. Enquire for more information.

At Springfield Nursery, we offer a range of services that cater to your child's individual needs. We provide Montessori, Forest, Sensory, Pre-School Teaching, and Speech and Language Development. Our days are made up of activities and routines which include child-chosen and adult-led activities, both indoors and outdoors. We believe that by providing a variety of activities, we can help your child develop a love for learning.
