Our Story

WK Design Architects is a passionate, friendly, hands-on Architect's practice based in Cockermouth, Cumbria. We have lots of experience and work across the county and throughout the Lake District on projects for homes, schools and businesses. We believe that listening to our clients is a key ingredient to the success of any project. Using natural daylight and building orientation, we maximise every inch of space.

Our Philosophy

We believe in light and space, listening to our clients, and making the small things count. Our designs put people at the heart of it all. We go beyond the brief, creating light-filled interiors that bring joy to the people that live, visit and work in them. We combine simple and natural materials with modern ones to fix our buildings in the present with inspiration and references to the environment and what has gone before.

Our Services

Whether you are a private or commercial client, building can be daunting, but we are here to try and make the build process as straightforward as possible offering helpful advice along the way. We can manage your build from inception to completion or we can provide you with a partial service. We specialise in one-off design tailored to meet your requirements.
