The Shropshire Lawn Company is a family-run business, established over 12 years ago, providing lawn care and lawn treatment services in central Shropshire around Shrewsbury and Telford. Our aim is to help our customers achieve the lawns they desire, by offering a comprehensive range of services, including regular feeding with high-quality fertilisers, treatments to control weeds and moss, as well as those to improve the underlying condition of your lawn, such as aeration, scarification, overseeding and topdressing. We also provide advice on controlling and preventing pests and lawn diseases.
Lawn Care Services
We offer a full range of lawn care services tailored to the specific needs of each lawn. Our lawn treatment specialists use only professional products and are fully trained in the use of pesticides and fertilisers.
Seasonal Treatments
Our seasonal treatments consist of 4 visits throughout the year, designed to feed and nurture your lawn, as well as take care of any problems with weeds and moss. We use a range of professional products tailored for different seasons, soil and lawn conditions.
*Spring*: As the growing season starts, we apply a slow-release fertiliser to encourage growth and recondition the lawn after the winter months. We also apply a moss control to keep any new winter moss in check and, depending on weather conditions, a weed control if required.
*Early Summer*: As the lawn enters its peak growth period, we apply a summer-specific fertiliser to improve colour and provide healthy growth, as well as a general weed control.
*Summer*: To keep your lawn attractive and healthy through the summer, we apply a 'no-scorch' fertiliser designed to operate under summer conditions and spot treat any specific or stubborn weeds.
*Autumn*: One of the most critical periods of the lawn calendar, we prepare your lawn for winter using an autumn fertiliser, which strengthens the root system and protects against disease through the winter months. At the same time, we apply a separate moss control to inhibit moss growth as we head towards winter.
Lawn Services
Our lawn services improve the underlying condition of the lawn, sort out specific problems and include:
*Moss Control*: If your lawn suffers from a lot of moss, we can control it using specific moss killers, generally followed by heavy scarification to remove the moss entirely. If moss has not taken over, we can reduce the levels of moss and prevent it becoming a problem through lighter preventative treatments.
*Aeration*: We reduce compaction of the lawn by removing small cores of soil, providing air channels to let more nutrients and water reach the roots, encouraging vigorous growth.
