Pebbles Day Nursery

At Pebbles Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a fun, friendly, and calming atmosphere for children from 0 to 5 years old. We understand the importance of the early years of a child's life and are committed to providing a range of experiences to help them learn and grow at their own pace.

Our Curriculum

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, which sets the standards for early years providers. Our qualified staff will work with you to ensure your child is happy and gains the most from their day. We believe that a child's experiences between birth and age five have a major impact on their future life chances. High-quality early learning helps to provide the foundation children need to make the most of their abilities and talents as they grow up.

Our 7 Areas of Learning and Development

We cover seven areas of learning and development, including:

• Communication and Language: Giving children opportunities to experience a rich language environment, developing their confidence and skills in expressing themselves, and speaking and listening in a range of situations.
• Physical Development: Providing opportunities for young children to be active and interactive, developing their coordination, control, and movement.
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development: Helping children to develop a positive sense of themselves, forming positive relationships, and learning how to manage their feelings.
• Literacy Development: Encouraging children to link sounds and letters and begin to read and write.
• Mathematics: Providing opportunities for children to develop and improve their skills in counting, understanding, and using numbers, and calculating simple addition and subtraction problems.
• Understanding the World: Guiding children to make sense of their physical world and community through opportunities to explore, observe, and find out about people, places, and technology.
• Expressive Arts and Design: Enabling children to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials, and sharing their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through various activities.

Meals

At Pebbles Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on serving homemade food that is not only delicious but also healthy. Our in-house chef prepares freshly prepared meals every day, catering for any allergies and cultural requirements. We have been awarded a 5-star rating by the Food Standards Agency and ensure that every meal is of the same exacting standards.

Serving Times

We serve a snack of fresh fruit and vegetables along with a carbohydrate, such as bread sticks or pitta, at around 9:30am and 2:00pm. Lunch is served at 11:45am, and a light tea is served at 4:00pm. Milk is served at meal times, and water is available throughout the day.

Nursery Fees

Our fees are competitive, and we offer flexible sessions to suit your needs. We are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, and closed on bank holidays and over the Christmas/New Year period.

Funding

Funding can only be claimed the term after your child's third birthday. The terms begin on 1st January, 1st April, and 1st September. Funding is not intended to cover snacks and meals, other consumables, and other extras like access to our online journal and short trips out, which is why we make a daily charge.
