A.S. Scaffolding Ltd is Scotland's largest independent scaffolding company, situated in Glasgow, providing complete scaffolding and ancillary scaffolding services throughout Scotland. Formed in 1981, we have steadily grown to become the leading provider of construction, hire, and ancillary scaffolding services to our clients, within all areas of the Private, Commercial, and Public sectors.
Our History
Recently, we have expanded our four-acre site to accommodate the most advanced systems and mechanicals to facilitate the vast array of structural access systems that can be provided, which in many cases relate to hazardous environments and hazardous materials such as asbestos. Our workforce, of over 300, is continually trained and certificated to the highest possible standards in health and safety, and an ongoing internal and external assessment of these skills and systems is maintained.
Our Services
We are engaged in all types of projects, from the smallest roof repair to full external access to some of the largest buildings and constructions in Scotland. Our systems are designed and used to provide safe and secure access to any structure. We are fully certified to provide and install the necessary access and handling facilities to handle all asbestos-related projects. We are a multi-award-winning contractor supplying complete design and access systems to many of the National Home Builders throughout Scotland.
Specialist Services
Our specialist services include scaffolding installation, access systems, temporary roofs, access towers, wall scaffolding, walkways, access and bridges, temporary staircases, and fire access staircases. We also provide environmentally safe access and decontamination areas to sites containing asbestos or any other hazardous material areas.
Design, Development, and Innovation
Our in-house design and technical services team provides bespoke design solutions to meet our clients' exact needs. Our engineers can also provide drawings, calculations, and site inspections, reducing client costs and providing a rapid response to design needs. Our development and fabrication team continually strive to produce and supply innovative components and structures to greatly enhance the safety and ease of access of all scaffolding systems.
Safety and Training
Quality and safety can only be achieved with the constant training and certification of our staff. We continuously monitor and upgrade the skills of our entire workforce, enabling them to provide the safest work environment for themselves and our valued clients.
Poor Experience with Scaffolding Company
Disrespectful Behavior
The company's employees have been accused of displaying disrespectful behavior, including blocking driveways and standing and chatting without permission. They have also been seen tossing litter out of their vans while driving, leaving a trail of trash on the roads.
Damage to Property
The company's scaffolding equipment has caused damage to a customer's fence, leaving it leaning badly. The company's employees have also been accused of using a customer's property without permission, cleaning solar panels without consent.
Poor Communication
The company's communication skills have been called into question, with customers reporting that they were not informed about the scaffolding installation schedule. One customer was not even notified that the company was coming to their property.
Excellent Service
On a more positive note, one customer reported receiving excellent service from start to finish and would strongly recommend the company.
