At Acorn Christian Healing Foundation, we are committed to bringing healing and wholeness to people across the UK. Our journey began in 1983, when Bishop Morris Maddocks established our organization with the vision of providing a safe and effective Christian context for people to experience personal and community wholeness.
Our Mission
Our mission is to serve the whole person, not just their spiritual needs, but also their emotional, physical, and relational needs. We believe that God's first response to humanity was to bless them, and we strive to be a ministry of blessing and generosity. We identify and enhance the image and work of God in every person, without trying to make them into a copy of ourselves. Our goal is to maintain transparent and emotionally healthy relationships, reflecting the reality that exists between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Our Services
We offer a range of services, including our Healing Hubs, where people can come together to experience the 'shalom' - a life-encompassing peace - that is at the heart of the Christian message. Our Acorn Training Academy provides practical and helpful training in the ministry of healing, equipping individuals and groups with the skills and knowledge they need to minister to others. We also offer a Listening Academy, which equips individuals to competently support others within health and social care environments, schools, churches, and a range of other community services, by listening.

Our values are rooted in our Christian faith, and we believe that love is the essence of God's being and that blessing is his default position. We believe that every person is unique and made in the image of God, and we strive to identify and enhance the image and work of God in every person. We also believe that wholeness is healing from God that touches every part of his creation and, therefore, our lives.
