Our History
Our story began in 1870 when Thomas William Pankhurst joined printers E. Smith and Co. in Bicester. By 1886, the company was renamed Smith and Pankhurst, and in 1917, they absorbed the Bicester Herald and published the Bicester Almanac and Directory. The Pankhurst family sold The Bicester Advertiser to the current Oxford-based owners, and their son Brian Pankhurst carried on the printing tradition under the new name of Bicester Print. Today, we are owned by husband and wife Julian and Sara Kemp, who took over the business in 2001 and brought with them a wealth of experience, providing a friendly and efficient service.
