Quaff Fine Wine Merchant, a distinguished purveyor of fine wines, is the brainchild of Toby Peirce, a seasoned wine aficionado with deep roots in the wine industry. Toby's formative years were spent playing professional cricket, which took him to the scenic vineyards of Stellenbosch, South Africa, during the English winters. Here, he honed his palate and forged connections within the local wine community, laying the groundwork for a successful career in wine.

Upon retiring from cricket, Toby began working for a leading Champagne house, selling to esteemed clients such as Gordon Ramsay and Tesco. Having acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in the wine trade, Toby seized the opportunity to establish the first Quaff Fine Wine Merchant in Portland Road, Hove, in 2005. The second shop followed in early 2010, in partnership with Ronnie Janssen, an accomplished wine specialist who had honed his skills at Moet et Chandon, Lanson, Penfolds, and Lapostolle.
