Our Mission

Our mission is to be the leading provider of quality childcare in the local area, and we achieve this by providing a stimulating environment that encourages children to learn through play and exploration. We value each child as an individual and work closely with parents and carers to ensure that their unique needs and interests are met.

Our History

Pumpkin Patch Day Nurseries first opened its doors in 2001, and since then, we have expanded to three settings, each providing a nurturing and small environment where children can thrive. Our founder, Gill Church, has a wealth of experience as an infant school teacher and holds a BSC and PGCE in Early Years Education, as well as being an Early Years Professional.

Our Services

We offer a range of services to suit the needs of our parents and carers, including full-day care, part-day sessions, and shorter pre-school sessions for children over 3 years old. We are registered to receive Nursery Education Grant, which allows for up to 15 hours of free funding per week for children over 3 years old. Our settings are registered with OFSTED, who carry out regular unannounced inspections to ensure that we meet the highest standards of care and education.

Our Team

Our team of highly qualified and motivated staff are chosen not only for their qualifications but for their genuine love of caring for young children. All managers, deputy managers, and room leaders are qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or above, and all other practitioners are either qualified or working towards their qualification. We operate a key carer system, which enables parents to develop strong relationships with a specific carer for their child, providing a sense of security and continuity for the child.

Our Nurseries

Our nurseries are designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment that supports the growth and development of each child. Our cooks offer home-cooked meals to provide a balanced and nutritious diet, and we encourage children to self-serve with child-sized utensils and dishes. We believe that meal times are an important part of the children's day, and our staff sit and chat with the children about the food they are eating or about their day.
