Our company, 1-2-C Master Chimney Sweep, is a highly respected and well-established, middle-sized family-run business with an outstanding reputation. Our founder, Sascha Meding, is a Master Chimney Sweep, an approved chimney consultant, a Hetas registered chimney sweep and installer, and the Vice chairman of the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps. With his extensive experience since 1993, Sascha is highly esteemed in the sweeping industry and holds several important seats on committees in Europe, such as with the European Master Chimney Sweep Organisation ESCHFOE.
Joining Sascha in our team are Mathias Mueller, a qualified Master Chimney Sweep since 2007, Lutz, a qualified Master Chimney Sweep and Energy consultant with experience since 1996, Claudia, our office and showroom manager, and Lothar, our installations manager who oversees all our installations and deliveries.

*Sweeping and Appliance Servicing*: The primary reason for sweeping chimneys and servicing appliances is the prevention of chimney and house fires and the reduction of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from blocked or dirty appliances, flue ways, and chimneys. Regular sweeping helps our environment by assisting the complete combustion of the fuel, reducing emissions. Our trained staff provides valuable advice on operating your appliance safely, efficiently, and on any remedial work that may be necessary.
The recommended frequency for sweeping and servicing according to the fuel used is as follows:
- Smokeless fuel: at least once per year
- Bituminous coal: at least twice per year
- Wood: quarterly when in use
- Oil: once per year
- Gas: once per year
Our Chimney Sweeping Service includes:
- A visual inspection of your flue
- Covering the fireplace area with protective dust sheets
- Sweeping the chimney in accordance with the Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps code of practice and the industry standard
- A draught test using a smoke pellet
- Issuing a Guild of Master Chimney Sweep sweeping and servicing certificate
- This service takes approximately 30 minutes

Our Solid Fuel Appliance, Servicing and Repairs include:
- A visual inspection of your appliance
- Servicing and cleaning the appliance according to manufacturers' instructions
- A draught test using digital draught tester
- Checking the appliance and installation for faults, correct fitting, and any necessary adjustments
- Providing a report detailing the checks carried out and the condition of the appliance
Chimney Maintenance
We also offer comprehensive chimney maintenance services, including:

Issues with the Seller
The reviewer, Mike Redford, has expressed dissatisfaction with their purchase experience. They bought a 200-part for their stove, but unfortunately, the shop has closed down, and they have been unable to get a response from the owner, Sacha Meding.
