Lizard C.H.I.L.D. Trust is a community charity rooted in Helston, Cornwall, dedicated to enriching the development and education of young children, primarily those under school age. Our History
Our charity was set up in 1999 as a new community initiative, offering services including a family learning programme, toy library, and full-day nursery with wraparound care and holiday clubs to support families. Today, we still provide a vital service for our families, with a very successful day nursery in the Elliot Buildings on the site of St. Michael's School in Helston.
Our Services
We offer a range of services designed to support the development and education of young children. Our Nursery Room provides a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-5, while our Pre-School Room caters to children aged 2-5. We also offer a Breakfast Club, After School Club, and Chameleon Holiday Club, providing flexible childcare solutions for working families.
In addition to our educational initiatives, we organize various community projects aimed at supporting families in need. Our projects are designed to promote growth, enrichment, and well-being, and we partner with local groups to maximize our strengths and resources.

We are always looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team. If you have a Level 3 qualification in Early Years or are looking to start or progress your career in childcare, we would like to hear from you. We operate 51 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday, and offer a supportive and collaborative work environment.
