Stuart Craine Garden Design is a London-based company that specialises in transforming town gardens into functional and fabulous outdoor spaces. Our founder, Stuart Craine, has a background in finance and spent several years working in Hong Kong and Indonesia before pursuing his passion for garden design and history at Capel Manor College in London. Stuart is now a fully accredited and registered member of The Society of Garden Designers, the highest recognition of garden design professionalism in the UK.

Our team is made up of designers with a mixture of backgrounds including landscape architecture, horticulture, and garden design. We have experience working on a wide range of projects, from small courtyards to large gardens, and have a track record of delivering high-quality designs that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

We have worked on a variety of projects in London, from Barnsbury to Regents Park, and have a reputation for delivering high-quality designs that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations. Here are a few examples of our recent work:

• Barnsbury Garden Redesign: We worked with Powell Tuck Architects to create a stunning garden as part of a refurbishment of a terraced house in Barnsbury, North London. The client wanted a garden that reflected the poetic and effortless mood of the interior and provided a beautiful gem of an outdoor space.
• Chelsea Courtyard Redesign: We created a contemporary courtyard as part of a refurbishment of a terraced house in Chelsea. The client requested a space that flowed from the inside to the outside, including a bench, focal point sculpture, lighting, and planting that was mostly evergreens and white flowering plants. This garden won best 'Pocket Garden' at the Society of Garden Designers Annual Awards.
• Primrose Hill Courtyard Redesign: We designed a contemporary courtyard as part of a refurbishment of a 1970's house in Primrose Hill. The client requested a design that was contemporary and flowed from the inside to the outside, including a dining area and lighting. Other key considerations were privacy from neighbours, storage, and access to the communal garden with planting to be mostly evergreens.
• Bow: The client requested a design that was minimalist and low maintenance, and which accentuated existing features such as the London stock walls and the cloistered area at the far end of the garden. They also wanted an outdoor room, away from the house, that could be used as a workspace or a place to relax.
