Summary of Reviews for Murray Motors
Customer Feedback
Murray Motors has received a mix of feedback from customers, with some having positive experiences and others expressing dissatisfaction.
Positive Feedback
A number of customers have praised the garage for their professionalism, friendly staff, and quick service. For instance, William Thomson gave a 5-star rating for their prompt repair of his under trays after they were ripped off due to hitting a large patch of water. Similarly, Scott Carnie, Lorna Reid, and Aija Dureika all rated the garage 5 stars for their efficient service and helpful staff. Steve Tokelove also commended the garage for their courteous service and comfortable viewing room during his first MOT.
Valerie Shepherd, who has been with Murray Motors for 10 years, praised the family-run firm for their friendly and professional service. Loanna Leishman appreciated the staff's friendliness and efficiency, and has already planned to return for further services.
Negative Feedback
However, some customers have had less positive experiences. For example, Stuart Noble gave a 2-star rating after his car door was not properly fixed following a repair. He felt that the garage was not upfront about the extent of the fix and should have advised him to get a new door instead.
Laura Kaubriene and Raimondas Kaubrys both gave 1-star ratings for the garage after purchasing a car with numerous faults that were not disclosed. They claimed that the garage lied about fixing the air conditioning and that they had to get the problems fixed through their finance company.
Additionally, Kimberley Ward rated the garage 3 stars due to a discrepancy in the price quoted for replacing her starter and the final cost, which included extra labour costs. She also felt that the price for changing brake pads and discs was too high.
John Riddoch gave a 1-star rating for the garage after his daughter bought a car that had gearbox issues just after the warranty expired, costing around 1500 to fix. He advised potential customers to consider purchasing an extended warranty or buying from a garage that offers a longer warranty.
