Welcome to Dulwich Ballet School, a prominent institution in the Dulwich and Herne Hill areas of South East London. Established over 30 years ago by Principal Sally-Ann Hodge, our school has evolved into a thriving community, offering a wide range of dance classes including ballet, tap, modern, and contemporary dance. Our dedicated team of teachers is committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for all our students.
Our Story
Our journey began with a vision to create a dance school that would not only teach the techniques and disciplines of dance but also foster a love for the art form. Over the years, we have grown into a vibrant community, sharing our passion for dance with hundreds of students. We take great pride in watching our students develop their skills and confidence, and many have gone on to pursue professional careers in dance.
Our Venues
We are delighted to offer our classes across five venues in the Dulwich and Herne Hill areas, making us easily accessible to students from various locations. Our venues are equipped with professional dance studios, providing a safe and comfortable environment for our students to explore their creativity and develop their skills.
Our Team
Our team of teachers is led by Principal Sally-Ann Hodge, who has over 30 years of experience in dance and teaching. Our teachers are all highly qualified and experienced, dedicated to providing the highest standard of dance education. They are committed to fostering a love of dance in each student, encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Classes
We offer a wide range of classes to cater to students of all ages and abilities. Our classes include:
- Ballet: From Introductory to Primary and Grade 1-8, Vocational, and Pointe Work
- Tap: From Pre-Primary & Primary to Grades 1-6, and Vocational
- Modern & Contemporary Dance
- Body Conditioning
Our students are regularly entered for RAD & ISTD examinations, providing them with the opportunity to gain qualifications in dance. We also produce a bi-annual show at a local theatre, giving our students the opportunity to perform on stage and showcase their talents.
