Our services include structural design and sampling, digital mock-ups and production samples, print management, and hand assembly inspection.

The Blue Box Design Experience

We believe in fostering creative collaborations with our clients through our unique BB3D experience. This immersive process allows clients to bring their brand new packaging design to life, from concept to delivery, ensuring it meets all their goals and targets. Our BB3D Design Studio in Stirling, Scotland, provides a dedicated space for clients to explore their creative vision, selecting materials and finishes, box shape and size, and sample printing on-site. This innovative approach enables clients to create a brief through to a full box design and 3D prototype within a single day.

Sustainability

At Blue Box Design, we are committed to reducing waste and promoting efficient recycling. We work with materials containing high amounts of recycled content, and our design team can develop innovative rigid boxes that are 100% recyclable. Our sustainable approach has led to a 25% reduction of carbon emissions when producing fully recyclable box designs compared to traditional box designs. We are dedicated to creating packaging that promotes and protects its contents, allowing brands to make a greater contribution towards their sustainability goals.

Our History

Founded over 25 years ago by Managing Director, Duncan Robertson, Blue Box Design joined the McLaren Packaging family in 2013, expanding our capabilities to offer high-end presentation packaging as part of our holistic range of paper-based products. Our purpose-built, modern design and manufacturing facility in Stirling opened in 2018, providing an immersive creative space to develop the highest quality rigid box packaging from beginning to end.
