Gilden's Art Gallery, a family-run business, was established in 1981 and has since expanded to have representatives in the United Kingdom, Israel, and the United States of America. In June 2006, we opened our new gallery in the heart of Hampstead village, North London. Our gallery specialises in and deals with 20th Century Modern Art, with a particular focus on Works on paper, including original prints from the 20th Century.
Our Collection
Our collection includes works from some of the most highly regarded artists of the 20th Century, such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Georges Braque, Marc Chagall, Henri Matisse, Max Ernst, and many others. We pride ourselves on our extensive collection of the Ecole de Paris, with a particular emphasis on Jewish artists who were part of this famous European movement. We also offer high-quality works by acclaimed Hungarian, Polish, and Russian artists.
In addition to this, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Israeli art market and offer paintings from some of the leading Israeli artists. Our collection is not limited to any particular style or movement; rather, we have a keen interest in works of art by artists from various movements, including Surrealism, Cubism, Impressionism, Expressionism, and the Russian Avant-garde.
Estate Collections
We represent Estate collections of oil paintings by Pincas Abramovich, Elyahu Sigard, Meir Steingold, Antal Biro, as well as works on paper by Arthur Markowich, Mihaly Von Munkacsy, and Jozsef Bato. These collections are a significant part of our gallery and are highly regarded by collectors and institutions alike.

We offer both private collectors and institutions a wide range of services, including fully documented research, condition reports, and certificates of authenticity for each work. Our directors and staff have extensive experience and knowledge of the International Art Market and are always happy to advise clients and institutions on their collections.
Exhibitions
We regularly hold exhibitions dedicated to some of the greatest artists of the Twentieth Century, including Pablo Picasso. In 2023, we will be presenting an exhibition of original prints by Picasso, marking the 50th anniversary of the artist's passing and engaging a new generation with the groundbreaking and iconic imagery of Picasso.
