Roxwell Pre-school

Welcome to Roxwell Preschool, a committee-run preschool with charitable status. We are proud to serve the children of Roxwell and the surrounding areas, offering high-quality care and education to children aged between 2 and 5 years old. As a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and a setting governed by Ofsted, we are committed to providing the best possible start in life for all of our children.

Our dedicated team of early years practitioners and volunteers work tirelessly to provide a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all of our children. We believe that every child is unique and strive to provide a personalised learning experience for each and every one of them. We are proud to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, using the Development Matters in the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance to plan and provide a range of play activities that help children to make progress in each of the areas of learning and development.

At Roxwell Preschool, we believe that parents are partners in helping each child to learn and develop. We value the input of our parents and work closely with them to ensure that each child's individual needs are met. We operate an open-door policy and encourage parents to get involved in the life of the setting, whether that be through volunteering, attending events, or simply sharing their child's achievements with us.

Our Services

At Roxwell Preschool, we offer a range of services designed to meet the needs of our children and their families. These include:

• Full and part-time places: We offer flexible full and part-time places to suit the needs of our families. Our session times are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:00pm.
• A safe and stimulating environment: Our setting is designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for our children. We have a range of equipment and resources to support children's learning and development, both indoors and outdoors.
• A caring and dedicated team: Our team of early years practitioners and volunteers are passionate about providing the best possible care and education for our children. They are all highly trained, with first aid certificates, food hygiene qualifications, and CRB checks.
• A focus on individual needs: We believe that each child is unique and strive to provide a personalised learning experience for each and every one of them. We work closely with parents to understand each child's individual needs and adapt our approach accordingly.
• A commitment to equality and diversity: We are committed to promoting equality and valuing diversity. We welcome children and families from all backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.

Themes and Activities

At Roxwell Preschool, we believe that learning should be fun and engaging. We plan weekly themes and activities designed to capture the children's imaginations and support their learning and development. These themes include animals, colours, shapes, letters of the alphabet, and many more! We encourage children to bring items from home to match the theme, making learning a fun and interactive experience for all.

We also offer a range of additional activities, including nature walks, cooking sessions, and creative play, to name but a few. We believe that children learn best when they are having fun and strive to provide a varied and engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all of our children.

Our Location

Roxwell Preschool is located in the heart of the village of Roxwell, surrounded by acres of open countryside and an abundance of nature. We are fortunate to have strong links with our community and take advantage of our location by embarking on mini adventures and nature walks, come rain or shine!

Uniform

At Roxwell Preschool, we have introduced a new uniform consisting of a navy blue hoody and T-Shirt. We believe that our new uniform is more practical for our children's play and learning, and we are confident that our children will look smart and feel proud to be part of our preschool community.
