At Lislagan Primary School, we are dedicated to fostering a love of learning in both children and adults. Our School and Facilities

Lislagan Primary School is a co-educational, non-denominational, primary school located in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland. We have a welcoming and inclusive ethos that encourages children from all backgrounds and abilities to learn together. Our school is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that include interactive whiteboards, laptops, and a well-stocked library.

We have a large playing field and playground that provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to play and learn. We have recently installed new outdoor learning equipment provided by the PTA, which has been a great addition to our school.

Our Classes

We cater for children from Primary 1 to Primary 7, with classes that are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each child. Our teachers work closely with children to provide a supportive and challenging learning environment that is both fun and engaging.

• Primary 1/2: This class is for children in their first and second year of primary school. We work to develop children's literacy and numeracy skills, as well as their social and emotional development.
• Primary 3/4: This class is for children in their third and fourth year of primary school. We build on the foundations laid in the earlier years and teach children more complex skills in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
• Primary 5: This class is for children in their fifth year of primary school. We provide a challenging and engaging learning environment that prepares children for the transition to secondary school.
• Primary 6: This class is for children in their sixth year of primary school. We continue to build on the skills developed in earlier years and prepare children for the Northern Ireland Transfer Test.
• Primary 7: This class is for children in their seventh and final year of primary school. We provide a supportive and challenging learning environment that prepares children for the transition to secondary school.

Extra-Curricular Activities

At Lislagan Primary School, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities that provide children with the opportunity to explore their interests and talents. Some of the activities we offer include:

• Music and Drama: We offer a range of music and drama activities, including choir, instrumental lessons, and drama workshops.
• PTA: The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an active group that works closely with the school to provide support and fundraising.
• Internet Safety: We provide a range of internet safety workshops for children and parents to ensure that children are safe online.
• Pupil Area: We have a dedicated pupil area that provides children with a safe and secure online platform to communicate with their peers and teachers.
• Eco Schools: We are committed to promoting sustainable living and are working towards achieving the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award.
• School Council: We have a school council that represents the voices of the students and works closely with the school to make improvements.
• 3P Learning Programs: We offer a range of 3P learning programs that provide children with the opportunity to explore their interests and talents.
• Wraparound Care: We provide a wraparound care service that provides before- and after-school care for children.
• Salt and Pepper Club: We offer a Salt and Pepper Club for children in Primary 1-3 that provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
