Our highly qualified and passionate staff encourage our little ones in all areas of their development, working closely with parents to ensure that each child's learning journey is tailored to their individual needs.
Our Story
D-Dee's Day Nursery was founded in 1996 by Debbie Gunn, with the goal of creating a special place where early years children could be nurtured and allowed the space and time to develop at their own pace. Since then, we have grown to become the longest-established early years setting under the same ownership in the area. We are proud to be constantly reflecting on our practice, enabling us to be the very best that we can.
Our Approach
At D-Dee's Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing a home-from-home environment where children and families feel part of our family. We are a family-run business, and we understand that every family is unique. That's why we offer flexible hours to suit your needs, from early starts to late finishes, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We are open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. daily, with the exception of Bank Holidays.

We actively seek staff who are enthusiastic about early years and our D-Dee's family ethos. Our staff come from a broad range of backgrounds and have specialist interests within early years. We believe that every member of our team is unique and brings their own special qualities to the nursery.

Our Facilities
Our nursery is located in the heart of Boughton under Blean, with easy access to the M2, A2, and A299. We have a rural setting that allows us to explore the community through walks in the fields, investigating hop gardens, and participating in community events. Our older children love going on adventures to places such as Faversham market and Canterbury city centre.
Food
At D-Dee's Day Nursery, we believe that food is an essential part of a child's learning and development. We provide three meals a day, plus snacks, all of which are freshly prepared in our own kitchen by our cook. Our menu reflects our use of seasonal produce where possible. We also involve our children in meal preparation, teaching them valuable skills and encouraging their independence.
