Our History
Founded in 1935 as a family business, Hannaford originally specialized in fibrous plasterwork and high-quality decoration. As the company grew, our range of services was broadened to include joinery and refurbishment work. Since being incorporated as K R Hannaford & Company Limited in 1970, we have gone from strength to strength, building an enviable reputation for customer service and attracting outstanding loyalty from our clients.

Royal Warrant
We are very proud to be the bearer of a Royal Warrant for Bespoke Joinery and Refurbishment Services. Having worked with the Royal Household since 2003 on heritage conservation projects within Royal Palace properties, Hannaford was granted the Royal Warrant in 2018.
Mixed Experiences with Hannafords
Safety Concerns
One reviewer, Tana Manny, had a negative experience with Hannafords, citing a back injury sustained on a construction site due to a lack of proper safety measures. Specifically, a 450Kg steel beam was being handled without proper Rams, and the site manager allegedly showed no interest in addressing the issue. This incident has resulted in a two-week absence from work for the reviewer.
Positive Business Experience
On the other hand, Castironairbricks had a positive experience with Hannafords, having supplied them with cast iron grilles for a restoration project in 2016. This was not an isolated incident, as Castironairbricks have been working with Hannafords since 2013, providing them with grilles and grates. They express gratitude for the custom and wish Hannafords well in future projects.
