McArthurs Renewables and Marine Technologies Ltd is a specialist services contractor with a team of staff and operatives who have a wealth of experience in delivering projects on time, below budget, and with an exemplary environmental and safety performance. Established in 2009, we operate from our offices in Glasgow, Scotland, and cover the UK and selected overseas destinations. Our company is divided into three divisions: Renewables & Marine, Special Projects, and Modular Wiring, each headed by a key member of staff. Our divisions are self-performing with complementary skills, and our shorter management chain speeds up decision and approval routes. Renewables and Marine

Our Renewables and Marine management team partnered with Ferguson Shipbuilders in the successful bid process for converting a flatbed barge to a multi-use accommodation service vessel. Our client, Ferguson Modular Ltd, purchased a barge known as the Miclyn 3319 in Singapore, which was then towed halfway around the world to Ferguson Shipbuilders on the lower Clyde in advance of the works commencing. Our team's expertise and experience enabled us to carry out the conversion successfully, making the ASV Pioneer a state-of-the-art vessel in the marine market.

Special Projects

Our Special Projects Division has a highly trained and experienced team of operatives who predominantly specialize in the unique needs of the Food and Drink Industry. We carry out works countrywide, varying from high-speed bottling or canning line installations to hazardous area maturation warehouse upgrades and complex process control systems. Our team's expertise and knowledge enable us to provide exceptional services to our clients, exceeding their expectations. Our work for Inver House Distillers, one of Scotland's leading distillers, is a prime example of our commitment to excellence.

Modular Wiring

Our experienced Modular Wiring fitters have been involved with this unique style of installation since 2005. Following a recommendation and some negotiations, Balfour Beatty Engineering Services appointed us to carry out the modular wiring installation & associated works packages for the new build wing at the NHS Victoria hospital in Fife. Our team's expertise and experience enabled us to deliver the project successfully, demonstrating our capability in the healthcare sector.

Our operatives are trained to the highest level on a safety and technical merit, and our staff members and management team hold a variety of complementary nationally recognized qualifications. We are members of the NICEIC, Select, and the SJIB, and we support the Scottish Electrical Charitable Training Trust through which we are responsible for training numerous apprentices and adult trainees.

Our seventeenth edition, CompEx certified technicians and operatives have extensive experience and knowledge of working to DSEAR and all aspects of hazardous area installations. We can provide advice, guidance, design & install, inspection, and testing for all your needs, no matter if it's a minor change to an existing plant or an entirely new facility.

As a CDM Principal Contractor, we have the necessary expertise, knowledge, and experience to manage the process, ensuring that the construction phase of the project is carried out in a way that secures the health and safety of anyone who may be affected.
