Our Story

At Sandytots Nursery, we pride ourselves on providing high quality childcare and a wide range of stimulating and fun experiences that help children develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes to make sense of the world around them. We aim to provide a safe, happy, and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow.

Our Philosophy

We believe that learning should be a fun and enjoyable experience, and that it's essential to provide opportunities for children to explore, discover, and experiment through play. Our passion is learning, but learning through play. We don't want to sit children down; we're not wired that way. We believe that children learn best when they're engaged and having fun. Our imaginations are ignited, and we learn through our glories.

Our Approach

Our qualified and experienced teachers work hard to create a stimulating and engaging environment that meets the individual needs of each child. We believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to provide care and education that recognises and values each child's individuality.

Our Facilities

We are proud of our facilities, which provide a safe and secure environment for children to learn and play. Our nursery is designed to stimulate children's senses, with a range of toys, equipment, and materials that encourage exploration and discovery. Our outdoor play areas are secure and well-equipped, providing plenty of space for children to run, play, and explore.

Our Staff

Our staff are our greatest asset. We take great care in recruiting and training our staff, who are all qualified and experienced in early years education. Our staff are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education, and they work hard to build strong relationships with each child and their family.

Our Room Settings

We have three rooms at Sandytots Nursery, each designed to meet the specific needs of our children. Our Pufferfish room is for children aged 3-5 years, our Jellyfish room is for children aged 2-3 years, and our Starfish room is for children aged 0-2 years. Each room is designed to provide a stimulating and engaging environment that fosters learning and growth.

Our Key Worker System

We believe that strong relationships between children and their caregivers are essential for their emotional and social development. Our key worker system ensures that each child is allocated a dedicated member of staff who takes a special interest in their educational and emotional well-being. Our key workers work closely with children and their families to develop a trusting and caring relationship.

Our Feedback

We value the feedback we receive from our parents and carers, and we're proud to be able to share some of their quotes with you. Our parents and carers have told us that they appreciate the warm and welcoming environment we've created, the extra activities we offer, and the way we communicate with them through our Tapestry journal.
