Welcome to Pat Renson Interiors, a dedicated team of interior designers based in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. Established in 2005, we have built a reputation for creating truly beautiful and functional spaces that stand the test of time, catering to the needs of both residential and commercial clients nationally and internationally. Our small team of three designers brings a wealth of experience and expertise, delivering contemporary and traditional styles with meticulous attention to detail and a customer-centric approach.
Meet the Team
Pat, our Director, honed her skills at The Body Shop International, working with Dame Anita Roddick in the 1970s and 1980s. Her passion for interior design led to personal renovation projects, showcased in Homes and Interiors magazines and on television. With over 20 years of experience, Pat launched Pat Renson Interiors in 2005, transforming spaces into exceptional and unique creations through innovative ideas, designs, and functional solutions.
Sam joined us full-time in 2019 after graduating with a First-Class BA Honours Degree in Fine Art from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. Specialising in painting, she brings her knowledge of colour mixing to the table, selecting the perfect colour palette for any space. As a visual thinker, Sam can envisage your ideas within the space, curating schemes of coordinating and stylish pieces to bring your vision to reality.
Zak joined our team in 2021 after graduating with a First-Class Honours Degree in Interior and Environmental Design from Duncan of Jordanstone. Her extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and SketchUp allows her to create accurate and realistic layout drawings and three-dimensional models of projects. With a passion for design and a love for textiles, Zak brings a unique perspective, blending design and functionality, enabling you to get the most out of any space.
Lola and Mo, our canine team members, joined us in 2021 after being rescued from the streets of Romania. Now holding the titles of Head of Barketing and in-house Barkitects, they contribute to the team's positive atmosphere.
Our Services
At Pat Renson Interiors, our experienced team of designers strives to create beautiful and functional spaces with timeless interiors. We tailor our services to each client's specific requirements, considering the brief, personal taste, and location of the project. Our capabilities extend to a wide range of projects, from furnishing show homes for developers to undertaking sensitive refurbishments of historically significant Grade II listed buildings. We also handle comprehensive interior design and interior architecture services for large-scale residential projects.
Interior Design
The Brief
The key to project success lies in creating interiors that truly reflect our clients' needs and desires. We invest time in the initial stages to understand the clients' brief by conducting a consultation to learn how they intend to utilise the space, their personal style, lifestyle, and aspirations. We review floor plans and photographs and comprehend all relevant factors, such as time constraints, budget considerations, and any structural or administrative requirements.
The Proposal
Once we have gathered this information, we present a proposal, outlining our understanding of the brief and providing an estimated budget for the FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) as well as our associated design fee.
Exceptional Interior Design Services
Pat Renson Interiors has received rave reviews from satisfied clients who have benefited from their exceptional interior design talents. However, not all experiences have been positive. David Brash was less than impressed with the service, giving the shop 2 stars. Brash felt undervalued and neglected, with the designer seemingly uninterested in his budget constraints. Despite eventually receiving a quote, Brash did not feel valued and took his business elsewhere.
