Leafield Pre School

At Leafield Pre-school, we are committed to providing a stimulating and secure environment where children can learn and grow through play. Established in 1973, our registered charity is run by a paid staff and a voluntary management committee, with a mission to promote learning through play, in a stimulating, secure, and caring environment.

Our team of qualified and dedicated staff work tirelessly to create happy, confident, curious, and creative learners. We believe in supporting and valuing the children in our care, as well as our staff, as individuals, while providing an outstanding service and meeting the educational goals of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Our Ofsted-registered setting caters for a maximum of 16 children at any one time, allowing us to offer unparalleled levels of care and attention.

Our Services

Our pre-school offers a range of facilities and activities designed to promote learning and development in children from the age of 2. Our curriculum-planned, play-based activities are aimed at progressing children's development and preparing them for school. We welcome children to visit our setting before their 2nd birthday to help them become familiar with their new surroundings, and parents or carers are expected to stay with the child during these visits.

We are located in a purpose-built annexe at the rear of Leafield village hall, providing a safe and accessible environment for all abilities. Our classroom and gardens are designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity, with a focus on outdoor learning and exploration. We offer flexible session times and competitive pricing, with a range of policies in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our children and staff.

Our Commitment

At Leafield Pre-school, we are committed to continuous improvement and development. Our staff participate in regular training and updates from the childcare sector, and we conduct regular evaluations of our practice to identify areas for improvement. We also seek feedback from parents and carers through annual questionnaires and committee meetings, ensuring that we are always working towards providing the best possible service for our children and families.
