Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy

Established in 2000, Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) has grown into a premier sailing destination on England's south coast. Our facility was purpose-built to host world-class events, including the sailing competitions for the London 2012 Olympic Games, and continues to attract international sailors. We combine elite sporting infrastructure with accessible training programs for all ages, supported by revenue streams from boat storage, event hosting, and hospitality services. Our strategic partnerships with the Royal Yachting Association and British Sailing Team reinforce our commitment to excellence. The academy's 220-metre slipway, 600 dinghy spaces, and 125 marina berths cater to recreational and professional sailors alike.

Through youth training initiatives and community engagement, we foster sailing development while maintaining financial sustainability. Our venue accommodates weddings, corporate events, and conferences, offering panoramic views of Portland Harbour. The 2005-built facilities incorporate lessons learned from Olympic-standard operations, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery. With daily operations spanning 8am-5pm seven days a week, we provide year-round access to maritime activities. Our history of hosting RYA Olympic Classes National Ranking Series events demonstrates enduring competitive relevance.
