Our History

Founded in 2007 by three individuals with a proven track record in the packaging industry, i2r has since grown significantly from its modest origins. Our company has a rich history, dating back to 1923 when Laminazione Sottile, a global leader in the manufacturing of rolled aluminium for a wide range of applications. Our company has since grown and diversified, acquiring and merging with other companies to establish a global presence. Today, we are a global leader in the manufacturing of rolled aluminium for a wide range of applications.

At i2r, we manufacture a comprehensive range of aluminium foil wrinklewall and smoothwall containers used throughout the food industry. Our products include Smoothwall, Wrinklewall, i2r Ultra, Eclipse, Lacquered Solutions, Semi Smoothwall, and Takeaway & Food Service. We also offer a range of lidding options for all aluminium trays.
