Empowering Creativity, Building Confidence
At Footloose Stage School, we believe that performing arts education should be a fun and engaging experience that fosters creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Our school, based in the heart of Thurnby village, Leicester, offers a wide range of classes in acting, singing, and dancing to students aged 3 years and upwards every Saturday during term time.
Our Vision
Our ethos is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where students can develop their artistic talents and achieve their full potential. We strive to instill pride, self-confidence, and ambition in our students, while encouraging them to embrace the arts with enthusiasm and passion. Our experienced teachers and industry professionals work together to provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students for a successful career in the performing arts.
Our Services
We offer an extensive range of classes and services designed to meet the diverse needs of our students. From Trinity Drama and Rock and Pop classes to IDTA Ballet and Tap, Acrobatic Arts, and Musical Theatre, we cater to students of all ages and skill levels. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in competitions, festivals, and performances at prestigious venues throughout Leicestershire, including the Sue Townsend Theatre, Y Theatre, and Loughborough Town Hall. Additionally, we provide 1-to-1 tuition, solo classes, and corporate event work opportunities for our senior students.
Our Achievements
Since our inception in 2005, we have grown from a small school with 30 students to a thriving community of over 100 students. Our students have achieved impressive results in competitions, with many trophies awarded to them. We have also had the privilege of performing at iconic venues such as Sadler's Wells London, Her Majesty's Theatre London, Disneyland Paris, and Disney World Florida.
Our Patrons
We are proud to have connections with the Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama (MADD) and are delighted to have Creative Director Emma Clayton and Course Director Edward Nudd as our patrons. Their wealth of knowledge and experience in TV, film, and theatre, including Broadway, has been invaluable to our students.
