*Survey*

When it comes to roofing problems, big or small, thorough investigation and design principles are crucial to achieving the best solution. At HAL, we follow these principles, even for isolated leaks, to ensure that our repair solutions are successful. Our inspection process includes a detailed evaluation of the roof deck, any insulation, the external waterproofing, and the condition of the supports. We then use this information to formulate proposals for the design and selection of the most appropriate systems.

*Design*

Re-roofing work at HAL is carried out to the same design criteria as new work. We believe in delivering long-term success through phased work that aligns with our clients' budget requirements. The design factors we consider include thermal performance, condensation analysis, falls and drainage, wind attachment, structural movement, and waterproofing performance. We do not cut corners in the design of re-roofing specifications to achieve short-term cost savings.

*Installation*

At HAL, we design and organize our site work to minimize its impact on our clients' operations during installation. We hold pre-start meetings to discuss the interaction of roofing works with the clients' operations and operatives and any interaction with visitors and members of the public. Our site plan includes work areas, storage areas, and traffic routes, and our health and safety plan includes Risk Assessment, Method Statement, and COSHH data. We employ only highly trained operatives and assign a Contract Manager to each project to act as the clients' point of contact and distribute instructions to installers. We conduct weekly site inspections to ensure the quality of ongoing operations and arrange a final inspection where we confirm the installation as excellent with the client.

At HAL, we are proud of our recent projects, including the replacement of existing concrete tiled roof areas with new color-coated aluminum standing seam roofing at Norton College in Malton, covering 3,700m.
