J Walker Brickwork Ltd is a highly esteemed and experienced company that has been providing bricklayers to both residential and commercial contractors since its inception in 1994. Over the past 27 years, we have built a stable core workforce and an impressive client list, including some of the country's major housebuilders and North West's regional contractors. We take great pride in our consistent aim to provide a quality service within timescale and budget.

The company's success began with Jonathan Walker trading as J Walker Building Contractor, which eventually became a limited company in 2002. Our management team comprises professionals and tradesmen from varying backgrounds, such as site engineers, bricklayers, and quantity surveyors, all with diverse experience in different industry sectors. We believe in promoting from within our workforce and training the next generation of construction operatives, ensuring pride, loyalty, and stability in our business.

Our company employs between 90 and 120 operatives on a subcontractor/card's in basis, and we undertake projects on a labour and sundry materials or labour-only basis, with packages ranging from 50k to 2 million+. We are committed to providing a professional response from initial enquiry to final account, regardless of the project size.

Our Vision

Our vision for the future is to consolidate our relationships with respected business clients whilst seeking carefully controlled growth, which will be strictly linked to our capacity to manage that growth using proven human resources. We are proud to have assisted Steve Goulden, Senior Site Manager Taylor Wimpey, in achieving an NHBC award-winning site for both safety and quality. Additionally, we have partnered with Bellway Homes, Kier Living Northern, and Taylor Wimpey over numerous projects for many years, providing an efficient, professional, and quality service.

Our Commitment

At J Walker Brickwork Ltd, we are committed to providing a skilled workforce that is fully CSCS compliant and trained in the use of abrasive wheels. We ensure that all our supervisors are SMSTS trained and qualified in First Aid. Our commitment to training includes a programme of site trade talks, given by the NHBC Quality checklists used by our supervisors to ensure NHBC standards and specifications are maintained, and regular toolbox talks carried out by supervisors. We continually monitor and review our working practices to maintain Health and Safety standards.
