Dress and Equipment Rules
At Gatley Golf Club, we take the dress code and equipment rules seriously. Visitors who do not comply with the rules will be asked to leave the course without a refund. We require every player to have their own set of golf clubs, and sharing of equipment is strictly prohibited.
For the golf course, we require shirts with a collar or roll-neck to be tucked in, tailored or plus twos or plus fours trousers, and tailored shorts for men with knee-length socks pulled up or predominantly white socks. Ladies' golf shirts may be worn as designed, and shorts or capri trousers should be tailored and worn with ankle socks. Headgear should be worn correctly, and golf shoes must be recognised golf shoes designed for the purpose.
In the clubhouse and lounge, smart casual attire must be worn at all times. Denim is strictly prohibited, and headgear must be removed. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed in the clubhouse or lounge. Shirts must be worn tucked in, except for straight cut shirts designed to be worn outside trousers. Golf clothing, including wet or muddy clothing, is allowed on the patio only. Tailored shorts are allowed in the lounge at any time.
