Our course, established in 1894, offers golfers a unique blend of the area's natural beauty and challenging play. With its wide, tree-lined fairways and long-range views of the Wensleydale Hills, the course winds through a former deer park, providing a breathtaking backdrop for your game. While water comes into play on seven holes, the prevailing Westerly breeze adds an extra layer of complexity to the course, making it a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all levels.
Location and Accessibility
Bedale Golf Club is conveniently located just 3 miles from junction 51 on the A1, and is easily accessible via the new A684 relief road, which offers a quick 5-minute journey from the motorway to the club. The club is situated on the outskirts of Bedale Town Centre, making it an ideal location for golfers looking to enjoy the town's vibrant atmosphere before or after their game.
Reciprocal Golfing Opportunities
Bedale Golf Club is proud to be a part of the 1894 club, which offers reciprocal golfing opportunities with 21 other national golf clubs. Additionally, members of Bedale Golf Club can enjoy reciprocal golfing at Durham City, Bishop Auckland, Richmond, and Saltburn.
Course Status
Our course is currently open, with all 18 full greens in play. Preferred lies are in effect on closely mown areas, and tee reservations are required. Trolleys and buggies are allowed on the course, and the next scheduled maintenance is set for Autumn 2024.
