Takes the hand, Touches the heart, Stretches the mind
Located in the heart of Garvagh and Glenullin, St. Patrick's and St. Joseph's is a federated primary school that prides itself on providing a warm and welcoming environment for its pupils. The school is situated on two sites, 2.5 miles apart, encompassing the catchment areas of Garvagh and Glenullin. The majority of children come from the immediate rural area, with a significant number of pupils travelling by taxi from the Aghadowey area.
At present, the school has 155 pupils enrolled, with 8 permanent teaching staff and 10 non-teaching support staff. As a community, we strive to provide a warm and caring environment where children are happy and relationships at all levels within the school are good.
As a Catholic school, we encourage each child to participate fully in our religious celebrations and live according to our shared faith. Our school motto, "Takes the hand, touches the heart, stretches the mind, " encapsulates our ethos and our vision to create a learning environment that gives every pupil the opportunity to develop their full potential.
